I will make a 3D model for the Kill la Kill Zine

Found some great character sheets and made this drawing to get the proportions right. After a talk with a 3D artist friend, I will model this in relaxed pose instead of the traditional T-Pose

jenpenn:

Actually y’know what fuck it.
If I can cover base costs for printing from sales i’ll put both zines up for charity.

Charity I have in mind is Woman’s Aid, a British charity focused on helping women of domestic violence. Would seem fitting given how empowering the show is for women. I’m also considering others but this one has done great work in the past so I’m confident in them.

IF Y’ALL OK WITH THIS THEN GET READY FOR A GREAT THING.

jenpenn:

Hey! common questions occured. Let me answer them here

How many pieces can I draw?

As many as you want! Someone plans to draw 8 things, while others can draw 1 image. You draw as much or as little as you want. I will obviously choose which ones go in though if you decide to make 300 images. It…

Hello there! I’m Jenpenn/Cyanatar. I’m an illustrator and a massive fan of Kill La Kill. I’ve done numerous pieces in the past (including some in the works) but the finale has made me really want to make something special.  As a result I’m announcing a Kill La Kill fanzine project! This really comes in 2 parts (thus 2 ‘zines’) so bare with me. The original idea was for me to make an anthology of artwork to personally release as a print book as my homage to the show. This would include 20 or more pieces of my own, and 5 contributing artists as guest features to the zine. Already I have got artists such as Koitonic and Jenna Smith on board, and then the idea grew. So what I’m doing is opening this, twitter collab style. The result being two products: One the printed zine which is of my own, and an amazing fan collaborated digital zine. I always complained about the idea of twitter collabs having no final direction and in this case, there will be a result for you to own either for a price or for free!The Digital zine will be free and a labour of love/fun for anyone who wants to contribute. I cannot print it unless I get permission/consent from every member to do so but again that can be for a later date and negotiation. The printed zine will be full colour and be sold, which in turn would mean money compensation and payment. I say 30+ artists because if demand or applications are high enough I will certainly add more! 30, 100 etc etc 3 artists will be picked for the physical and I will try to include as many as I can for the digital release.Application to be in the Zine is by my email jennabrownart@hotmail.co.uk (titled KLK zine) and you MUST have a way for me to see your art otherwise I cannot allow you in. Any medium is fine, I will give more details to successful applicants. This is a huge project (especially for myself..20 fully rendered images at least *flop*) but I want to create a thankyou to the team who made a great show. Together we can do it, just be sure not to lose your way!Applications close October 30th. Please share if you can! Spread the word ;w;

3D model for Kuchlein finished!

New textures for the Medusa Head

Added the Snakes on the Medusa Head

Testing the Zbrush sculpting, this was modeled from a sphere, and i gave it shape with digital clay in zbrush.

Added Displace Maps to the rock parts and changed the texture of the shoulder columns to make them different to the other pieces.

And changed the illumination to a sunset, I know the original sky when Wander fights the 3rd Colossi is more like a cloudy gray sky, but I like more the orange tones of this other sky.

Added the Foliage script on the Colossus
